Empowering site managers to make the best McGill websites

New features and updates

Enchanté

McGill Profiles now includes an additional built-in menu link for the French Profiles List. You'll find the Personnes menu item in the disabled section of your site's menu structure. Enable it to introduce your visitors to people en françaisLearn about McGill Profiles...

Sending out an SMS

Don't put that message in a bottle. Engage your WMS site visitors by using the sms: protocol and create links to telephone numbers. When an SMS link is clicked on a mobile device, it initiates a text message to the number. You can also use tel: links to let users initiate phone calls from cell phones and some other devices. Read more about these protocols...

That's so meta

Want to improve SEO (search engine optimization) for your site? You'll need to take an introspective look at your content. WMS Site Managers can now update and fine-tune meta tags to ensure that pages are defined with meaningful and effective meta data. Get details on working with meta tags...

Emojis!

All WMS sites were recently updated to support a wider range of alphabets and character sets in order to display more languages. The best part — and what we've been secretly waiting for — is the ability to now include emojis in content! 🤣💁🏻‍♀️😍👍🎉 Read about support for non-Roman languages...

Webform policy changes on the way

Stay tuned for new measures aimed to protect user data in WMS webforms.

One new measure when implemented, will consist of expiring submissions after one month.

Now is the time to get into the habit of regularly downloading submissions. It's easy to do and even files can be included with the downloaded results.
