February is Heart Month and My Healthy Workplace is happy to connect with each of you at the Heart of What Matters. Our MHW community of caring volunteers is growing, with new initiatives warming up our workplace. Check out employee well-being groups, or start your own with support from our enthusiastic MHW volunteers. In honour of Valentine's Day, find out how you can best support Heart Health on your team, and invite colleagues to join you in taking the Heart Health Challenge. Leading from the Heart


In her book Daring Greatly, Brené Brown says, “We desperately need more leaders who are committed to courageous wholehearted leadership and who are aware enough to lead from their hearts”. In cultures that reward “being right” over the expression of vulnerability or curiosity, how can we begin to lead from the heart?



Heart Health Challenge: Win a Free Cooking Class!


This month, take time to learn about heart health and the measures you can take to help reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease by participating in this month's heart health challenge. All confirmed participants of this challenge will be entered into a lottery to win one of 20 spots in a free cooking class with Chef Oliver De Volpi!


Change with Heart


Change is constant in this fast-paced world. Yet each of us resists in our own individual ways. We struggle to hold on to a position, a relationship, an ideal, a ranking, an object – or simply to a time in our life that has now passed. 

Without the awareness that the days in a year are limited, we may find ourselves wasting our time and energy pining for the past and fearing the future.
