With over 100+ top-tier exhibitors, the FOCUS: California section and exhibition, and lineup of talks and tours including the PLATFORM Speaker series, Art Toronto offers a cultural experience like no other.

/Art Toronto Opening Night:

Join us for the official opening of Art Toronto. This unique and important benefit gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). Last year, we welcomed more than 2300 guests and raised over $500,000 in support of AGO exhibitions, programming and artwork acquisitions.

Art Toronto Opening Night offers guests exclusive access to view and purchase works at the fair before it opens to the public. Alongside leading dealers and artists, guests toast the launch of the fair with delectable drinks, gourmet hors d'oeuvres and an artist project commissioned specifically for the evening.

PLATFORM is Art Toronto’s original series of lectures and panel discussions from prominent art world figures. Included within PLATFORM are POWER TALKS, a series of lectures organized in partnership with the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. Find out what's trending and happening in the international scene from artists, writers and curators and immerse yourself in all things art in this comprehensive line up of talks on the PLATFORM stage.

FOCUS: California

Expanding upon 2017's FOCUS on Los Angeles, Art Toronto returns this year with FOCUS: California. The interactive exhibit features galleries from California and is curated by Kim Nguyen (Curator and Head of Programs at the CCA Wattis Institute, San Francisco) and Glen Helfand (Associate Professor at California College of the Arts, San Francisco, independent writer and curator based in Oakland, California).

SOLO Salons Art Talks

Join a selection of Art Toronto’s SOLO artists as they discuss their work through the lens of shared themes. Talks are approximately 45 minutes long and are moderated by art professionals.

The Park

Within the main fair, Art Toronto Design presents a series of curated vingettes within the fabric of the fair.  This year,  The Park in conjunction with FOCUS: California curators Glen Helfand and Kim Nguyen presents a curated selection of video by local and international artists reflecting on abstract interpretations and notions of landscape.  Works are presented as movies in the park with expanses of green lawns and bleacher seating.
