Iain Hart: A High Achiever In and Out of the Classroom

The Scottish stereotype of being pessimistic is anything but true with Iain Hart. Currently in his third year of studies he radiates positivity in his relationships, patient care and academic achievements. He was awarded the Dr. D.P. Mowry and Dr. Maxwell and Betty L. Maryam Tabrizian Announced as New Associate Dean Research & Graduate Studies

Congratulations to Dr. Maryam Tabrizian on being selected as new Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies. Maryam is a Full Professor with a cross appointment in the Faculty of Dentistry and the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Faculty of Medicine. She will be replacing Dr. Marc McKee who has been active as Associate Dean for the past 17 years. Click here to read the full announcement.


Inaugural Clinical Education Seminars a Huge Success

Over the past weeks the Faculty has held its first two Clinical Education Courses led by Dr. Richard Hovey, Director of Faculty Development. These meetings marked the inauguration of our newly formed Faculty development initiative. The meetings were wildly successful, “this is by far the largest and most enthusiastic group we have ever attracted to session on clinical teaching,” says Dr. Jeff Myers, Associate Dean Clinical Affairs. Read the full story here.

Free Hearing Screenings for Staff and Students

On Friday, April 1st and Tuesday, April 5th from 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., the Speech and Language Pathology students of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD) will be offering free hearing screenings for staff, students, and friends. The screenings will take place at the SCSD, 2001 McGill College Avenue. The information booth will be on the ground floor. An Audiologist will be on site to answer any questions. Children aged 3+ are welcome.
