10th Annual Faculty of Dentistry Research Day Winners
The Faculty of Dentistry Research Day has always been an excellent opportunity for graduate students, trainees, post-doctoral fellows, research assistants and research associates to showcase their research work. And this year was no different. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the day was packed with intellectually inspiring graduate research work from a wide range of subjects from both Research Divisions. McGill students receive awards at IADR Annual Meeting and Exhibition
The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) held its Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Boston last month. Xixi Wu was presented with the IADR Implant Research Group Young Investigators Prize for Student Research and Mohamed Nur Abdullah recieved the CADR-NCOHR Student Research Award. PhD Student Basem Danish wins NCOHR Video Contest
Congratulations to Basem Danish on his first place finish in the Network of Canadian Oral Health Research Video Contest! His video titled “Inequalities in oral health and access to dental services among Canadians” was selected by the judges as the best video in the category Impact of Canadian Oral Health Research. Quebec budget brings more cuts to universities: On March 26, Quebec's Minister of Finance, Carlos Leitão, tabled the provincial budget. This is Quebec's first balanced budget since 2008, but it represents a reduction in total allocations to universities and CEGEPS of some $100 million. Provost Anthony C.
