In and Around the Faculty

Congratulations to Dr. Sam Malkinson and his wife Jessica! They welcomed their baby girl Alexis Sofia on March 12th. Welcome to the world, little one!

Meghann Lussier (DMD-IV):

My grandmother was a patient of the McGill student dental clinic while I was applying to dentistry. A few years ago, I went to an appointment with her; that is when I decided that I would to go to McGill for dentistry.

Last week, my grandma had an appointment at the dental clinic and came in with my mom. Three generations were together in one cubicle at McGill! She was treated by Stephen [Wong] and Dr. Blomfield. She was very happy and enthusiastic to meet classmates and staff. My parents who met, then graduated at McGill and my grandmother are also very proud that I made the choice to attend McGill and that I am graduating soon.

Congratulations to the Mighty Molars! Our Faculty’s very own soccer team took first rank in McGill Intramurals co-ed D league. Team member Zhan Yu Fang (DMD-III) explains: “This is the first time since Autumn 2012 that the Mighty Molars finished first”. Undefeated this season, the team is looking to bring their winning streak with them into the upcoming Spring 2016 season. Go Mighty Molars!
