Meet Dr. Maryam Tabrizian, our Next Associate Dean (Research & Graduate Studies)

On May 1st, the Faculty of Dentistry will welcome its new Associate Dean (Research & Graduate Studies), Dr. Maryam Tabrizian. In the words of Dean Allison, Dr. Tabrizian "has been a very active and successful researcher with the Faculty since 2000 with many notable achievements in her field of bioengineering and beyond". NSERC CREATE grants announced at McGill

On April 14 2016, a total of $21.4 million in new grants from NSERC’s Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) was announced at a press conference held at McGill’s Bellini Building. Of the total, $1.6 million will go to McGill, to fund a six-year project led by Prof. Jake Barralet, who teaches experimental surgery in the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, and specializes in bioceramic applications within orthopaedics. Nikki, along with co-organiser Ivy Lin (DMD-III), put together a great event highlighting the importance to advocate, educate, and improve the oral health care of persons with special needs.
