On April 3 and 4, over 30 researchers, clinicians, research personnel and students from five countries working in several fields related to head and neck cancer participated in a workshop hosted at the Faculty by Drs Belinda Nicolau, Marie-Claude-Rousseau and Nicolas Schlecht. Participants discussed preliminary findings and future directions of two ongoing international studies: the HeNCe Life study, a case-control design investigating the aetiology of head and neck cancer, and the MuCOSAL project, a prospective cohort study of the natural history of oropharyngeal precursor lesions. Scientific presentations, including some by our graduate students, paved the way for productive discussions.
