Dear faculty members and staff, Preparations for the Faculty’s annual Chinese New Year Dinner are already on their way. The event will take place on February 19th, 2014 at Le Cristal Chinois restaurant (998 Blvd St-Laurent). More details will soon be available at www.outreachdinner.com. This event is a student lead initiative but its success depends on participation from the entire Faculty. This is why we are reaching out to you for your help. If you know of any family, friends, local dentists or other organizations which may be interested in sponsoring the event, or who would be willing to donate items for a raffle and silent auction, please let us know at the email address below. We have attached a brochure about the Outreach Program and a letter outlining the ways in which sponsors can support this important event. Forensic dentistry that is. Without a doubt, it is both an intense and fascinating specialty. Read the article Notices The Faculty of Dentistry "made history" by accepting the first student to have registered for graduate studies through the uApply system. uApply is an online application system for all grad students at McGill in order to do away with paper applications. This system has been put in place in order to speed up the admissions process and allow McGill to compete against other major research-intensive universities for graduate students by reducing time for paperwork, letters of reference to be sent by mail, etc. Our very own Maria Palumbo (Student Affairs) was among the pioneers who tested the uApply system when it was on trial before launch!
