Joining Our Team

Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that following Dr. Ali Fakhry’s decision to step down as Director of the Faculty’s Continuing Dental Education Program, the Faculty conducted a search and we have recently appointed Dr. Nareg Apelian as the new Director, starting June 1st, 2014.  Nareg is a graduate of the Université de Montreal who has been working in general practice for approximately 20 years.  He also works with the ODQ on their inspection committee and as part of the organisational team for the JIDQ, and is working with on the message boards, moderating discussions for "Dentaltown".  In addition to his role as the Director of the CDE Program, Nareg will be working with John Blomfield in taking over the leadership of the 3rd and 4th year clinical clerkship courses.

In addition to welcoming Nareg in this important role, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Ali Fakhry for his excellent work leading the CDE program over the past few years.  Ali lead the program during an important transition phase and it is now very well placed to become a leader in CDE in Quebec and North America.
