Congratulations class of 2022, and welcome to the UBC Science alumni community!


On behalf of the entire Faculty, congratulations on achieving some very special milestones!


You’re now graduates of one of the most challenging, comprehensive science curriculums in the world. And while I’m very pleased that you’ve been able to complete your UBC journey while our beautiful campus is once again open, I know it’s been challenging. I’m proud of you.


The world, now more than ever, needs people like you—determined, inquisitive, smart, focused on solutions—to overcome our grand challenges. Your time at UBC Science has uniquely prepared you to not only pursue a variety of career paths, but to fundamentally help improve the world.


I also want to thank your network of family and friends—everyone who has encouraged you throughout your journey. I know for many of you their support has been vital.


You’re also now joining of a network of UBC Science alumni that is almost 50,000 strong. As a community it offers career support, intellectual programming for every taste, opportunities to develop as a mentor and leader, and a range of benefits and services you can enjoy anytime, anywhere.


So make sure you take advantage of all the resources, benefits, and networking opportunities available to you as UBC alumni. And never forget UBC Science is proud of you.
