Mentorship & Learning Opportunities

Apply to be a Mentor at the OSD

The OSD’s peer mentor program is designed to enrich the university experience of our diverse student body. The program aims to ease the transition to university life while supporting students as they build and develop their own networks and skillsets. Mentors are paired with a student who is registered with McGill’s Office for Students with Disabilities. Mentors and mentees then meet on a continual basis and have the opportunity to talk about: learning skills and strategies, what the campus has to offer, various fields of study, academic interests, connecting with others and sharing ideas and resources - all while facilitating access and promoting an inclusive university environment.

If you are interested in joining our fun and inclusive team of peer mentors, please fill out our mentor application form. Should you meet all the requirements, you will be contacted once your application form has been reviewed

Summer Webinars from Tutorial Services

Each semester our Learning Skills Advisor creates and presents webinars to help you get the most out of your academic life, while showing your true capabilities. Learn practical skills and strategies for topics including: Time Management, Learning and Memory and Concentration and Focus. You can see our full summer schedule, and register for events, through the Tutorial Services myInvolvement page.

Accenture Career Mentor Program

Mentees will be matched with an Accenture Mentor who will provide career mentorship. Mentors will provide career advice and support on any career topic, e.g. choosing a career path, applying to jobs, and job interviews. Mentees can also discuss disability and accessibility at work with their mentors, or any other topic that they would like to receive mentorship on.

The program will run from June 2021- September 2021. However, the goal is to create relationships that will go beyond this program.

Apply here by May 14th 2021.
