Dear students,

The past year has been filled with changes, but one thing that has remained constant is the OSD's commitment to providing support services and academic accommodations to the McGill student body. We would like to take a few moments to go over how we are aligning with McGill's COVID safety measures, highlight our services, and introduce our new staff members.

Return to Campus Updates and Safety Measures

McGill University Return to Campus Fall 2021

To access the University's most updated information related to the Fall return to campus, please consult the Coronavirus Information page.

In addition to the Coronavirus information page, regularly check your McGill e-mail for MRO communications with updates from the Deputy Provost (SL&L) Fabrice Labeau.

In-person Appointments and Staff Safety Measures

The OSD is ramping up availability of our in-person appointments. In addition to the pre-appointment checklist you will receive if you book an in-person appointment, we also assure you that we are continuing to follow all university safety measures related to COVID-19, in accordance with current health guidelines.

Ramp-up of in-person work

Internally, the OSD is implementing a gradual return to campus for our staff and we will be back full-time as soon as university directives allow.

As the University prepares for in-person learning for the Fall 2021 semester, the OSD will offer both in-person and virtual advising and learning skills appointments. See below for general information on appointment types, or visit our website to book an appointment.

Learning Supports

The OSD and Tutorial Services offers Learning Supports to students registered with the OSD, as well as the wider McGill Community. These student-centered academic supports include a suite of learning supports resources, including webinars focused on study skills development, and the Tutor Matching Program. Working to develop effective learning skills and strategies can help you find a better school-life balance and meet your academic goals. Check out the Tutorial Services website for more information about the Tutor Matching Program, and resources on topics like Time Management, Note-Taking and Exams.
