There are 3 types of exam conflicts: Academic Conflicts, Religious Conflicts, OSD Conflicts.
Academic and Religious Conflicts are resolved through Central Exams.
OSD Conflicts occur when a student, by virtue of their disability-related accommodations, is scheduled to write more than 8 hours of exams in one day (please note Stop Watch time is not counted towards writing time).
You will be contacted at your McGill email address to notify you of a conflict and available options (e.g., taking multiple exams in the same day or moving one exam) to resolve the conflict. Please reply as soon as possible with your preferred option.
If you do not reply by the deadline provided in the email, you will be scheduled to write any applicable exams in the same day.
If you believe that you have an OSD conflict and you have you not been contacted directly, please email email@example.com as soon as possible and notify the team. Include the date and course details.
*Please note that the OSD does not have the authority to move final exams in situations where there is no conflict (e.g., due to a student’s scheduling preferences).
