1. Kena Paranjape of All You Are:

Kena is an entrepreneur, writer, speaker and the Founder of All You Are. She is passionate about inspiring others to live well everyday and harness their creativity to build a fulfilling life.

As a first generation Canadian from India (her parents both immigrated to Canada in the 70's), Kena was born and grew up on the East Coast of Canada (Nova Scotia and then Newfoundland) - in communities with very little diversity.   Her father passed away when she was twenty, and her mother stepped up to ensure that Kena and her sister were supported both emotionally and financially (even putting them through University). A true Matriarch.  Kena is following in her mother's footsteps, and after going through another tremendous loss in her life losing her first husband, she and is a tour de force in both her personal life and professional life.  She is re-married and a proud mother of a two-year old daughter.

In 2007, at the age of 30, Kena’s husband became suddenly and mysteriously critically ill. After five months in the intensive care units of several hospitals, he recovered enough to come home but with a permanent condition that needed to be carefully managed.  Over the course of the next seven years, Kena and her husband managed his health on a daily basis until his passing in 2014.

Kena experienced first hand how quickly life can change, forcing you to not only adapt but to actively choose how your story will unfold. While there is much we cannot control, we have more agency over our lives than we realize. Through her journey, she also came to understand the power of committing to living well regardless of our life circumstances. This journey inspired her to create All You Are.

In addition to founding All You Are, Kena is the co-founder of BRIKA, an innovative retail concept focused on highlighting and supporting emerging artisans and designers. Kena has 15+ years of experience in retail including creating and managing retail merchandising strategies for Indigo, Joe Fresh and Gap as well as a high-end eco-friendly concept. She currently sits on the advisory board of the David Sobey Center for Innovation in Retailing and Services.

Kena has been described as a wise and courageous challenger who inspires through her compelling personal stories and warm, nourishing style.  She is a great profile story and is also TV ready.

Julie Clark of Province Apothecary:

A holistic skincare and wellness aficionado, Julie Clark began crafting natural, organic beauty products out of her kitchen years ago. Her journey started after struggling with allergies and eczema all her life. Despite her busy schedule as a costume designer and stylist, Julie found herself drawn to holistic skincare, using her time off to experiment with oils, waxes and herbs -- all in pursuit of the perfect skin care regime. In 2010, Julie began studying Aromatherapy, Holistic Health and Esthetics in Toronto. Here she formed the foundation of her skincare expertise, experimenting with raw materials and natural ingredients.

For Julie, natural beauty goes beyond simply organic ingredients; natural beauty means a pledge to helping clients feel good in their own skin. “I gather so much inspiration from my clients, the weather, and the seasons,” says Julie, of her individually-tailored approach to skin care. Her facial treatments often include hand-blended masks using local produce and seasonally appropriate, farmer-friendly ingredients. While PA has long outgrown the kitchen, Julie’s devotion to fresh, seasonal, and organic beauty continues. Now a certified holistic esthetician and aromatherapist, Julie remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and small-batch skin care of the highest quality.

An expert on all things natural skincare, Julie is the perfect voice for winter skincare routines. Dance/fitness and indoor spinning vet tips Andrea Lawent from Made in LA

Veteran dance and fitness guru, Andrea Lawent is one of the original pioneers to the world of indoor cycling. The founder of Made in LA, a punk rock fitness studio that creates a workout experience like no other. This experience is called, "The Ride." Andrea is a trailblazer in the fitness industry, being the first to bring indoor cycling to a studio format.  Not only does she play the soundtrack to your life, Andrea brings you into a 'rock n' roll meditation' state and before you know it - class is done and you've worked off hundreds of calories! Equipped with 35 spinning bikes, a 2,500 square foot private training gym, a squad of seasoned fitness gurus, chiropractors, and physical therapists -- Made in LA has got your every need covered! Made In LA raises the bar on any other indoor cycling program in the world and is designed to support every level of fitness. As a pioneer of indoor cycling, Andrea Lawent has stayed true to the original way in which this program was created.

An expert in all things cycling, Andrea can speak to the growing popularity of the boutique studio workout format. Andrea moved to Hollywood, California in 1978 after representing her home state, Wisconsin, as a contestant on the TV show, Dance Fever, and never looked backed! Andrea brought her talents to Los Angeles and enjoyed a successful career as a dancer and choreographer with notable performances including, choreographing the 1991 Super Bowl, and Whitney Houston’s “Welcome Home The Troops Tour”.

Throughout her career, teaching dance was a prominent and passionate part of it. So it seemed a natural fit to team up with her dance mentor, Billy Goodson to tackle the fitness industry. Together, they created Cardio Funk, a fusion of hip hop/funk and aerobics. She developed a very strong following of people that veered away from the usual “aerobic” music experience and became the go-to place if you wanted the rock-n-roll experience. With that came the clientele of the same soul with the likes of Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols, Seal, Rod Stewart, Joey Castillo, Scott Weiland, the owners of Epitaph Records and Bad Religion, to name a few -- following Andrea wherever she taught. She has graced the covers of US Magazine as Hollywood’s Hot 100, and billboards throughout Los Angeles.

Dying to try a workout that actually feels like having fun? Let Andrea show you how it's done at Hollywood's favourite fitness studio, Made in LA!

About: All You Are is a collection of fully-functional yet feminine and flattering robes made for the modern day woman. Gone are the wish lists of slinky silk kimonos that cover nothing and make bending over a burden. All You Are was founded on the belief of living fully and living creatively. Founder, Kena Paranjape, based the principles of the brand on the power of choice and the difficulties of sacrifice. There have been times in Paranjape's life where she had been called to sacrifice and to give, sometimes more than she had thought. How she navigated these experiences led her to realize how much choice we have, even when the circumstances are beyond our control. Now she lives with the knowing that we have the power of choice in ever moment to breathe beauty into our lives.

Designed to create a solution to the current market of bulk, unflattering, or clingy robes; Paranjape set out to design he robe she wanted -- one that looked chic after a shower of over her PJs but still worked with and enhanced your life. We're talking slim sleeves, a built-in belt, and a fabric that was cozy and comfortable, yet never clingy. The All You Are robe was designed for flipping pancakes, playing with kiddies, opening the front door, and spending a lazy Sunday in. This robe was designed for you.

You can reach her via email at kena@allyouare.ca.

Throughout the three years of study, she started blogging to inspire people beyond her immediate circle and and in 2009 Joyous Health was born.

By 2013 Joy had grown the business and was now taking on clients consulting, touring the country speaking at various industry events as an expert, and developed her own line of products.  She also launched her first online program, Joyous 10-Day Detox; a line of natural and organic body care; and, most importantly, her husband Walker joined the team full-time. He left his corporate job selling fancy cars and returned to his entrepreneurial roots to join Joy in the day-to-day efforts of running Joyous Health.  By 2014 Joy finished her first book, Joyous Health: Eat and Live Well without Dieting. It was published, and became a best-seller.  This book was a celebration of real food, life and proving that healthy eating can be delicious.
