A message from Campus Life & Engagement, the one office dedicated to new McGill students.

Hi Campus Life & Engage!

There are so many ways to make the most of your budget, and McGill has resources to help you manage your money effectively! Beyond those, we're also sharing info on additional funding opportunities available to graduate students. Find out more in the GradLife Orientation Finances module, available through myCourses!

Take Note!

Read on for important fee deadlines and information on additional sources of graduate funding!

1️⃣ Fees and payments are handled by Student Accounts.

Fall tuition payment deadline: August 31, 2021

Winter tuition payment deadline: January 5th, 2022

2️⃣ Graduate funding comes in two forms:

Internal: awarded by McGill, generally as part of your offer of admission.

External: awarded by outside agencies such as the provincial and federal governments, for which you must apply.

For more details on the awards and funding opportunities available to graduate students, please visit the Funding section of the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website or the Career Planning Service's page on external scholarships!

3️⃣ Students may also be eligible for departmental awards and fellowships. For more information on the funding that you were offered, or departmental funding and opportunities in general, please communicate directly with your Graduate Program Coordinator.

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee (hoh-DEE-noh-SHoh-nee) and Anishinabeg (Ah-nish-ih-nah'-bey) nations. McGill honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we meet today.
