Interested in learning the basics of Zoom for engaging in your Fall courses? This interactive webinar hosted by Teaching and Learning Services will let you explore and familiarize yourself with Zoom, a web conferencing tool that allows instructors to convene online meetings with students, chat with or without video enabled, and deliver presentations. We will go over how to use Zoom as a student, practice using some common features, and give you tips and techniques to support your remote learning success.
Dollars and Sense – June 16 & 17
Talk about money with Financial Aid Counsellor Alison Mackay, who will highlight the services, resources, and day-to-day budgeting basics needed as you prepare for your studies at McGill. Hosted by Scholarships and Student Aid.
Housing – June 22 & 23
This webinar will guide students through details about housing in Montreal, both in McGill Residences and off-campus. Topics will include the residence lottery, different on-campus options, and services, resources, and communities available to students wishing to live off-campus (i.e. NOT in a McGill Residence). Whether an off-campus first-year, transfer student of any age, or an exchange student, there is something for everyone in this webinar, and you'll be thankful you have this introduction to living in Montreal as a McGill student! Hosted by Kirsten Vanderline, Off-Campus and Commuter Student Support Coordinator at Campus Life & Engagement and Amanda Rosenberg, Off-Campus Housing Coordinator at Student Housing & Hospitality Services.
