Principal's Spring Town Hall and Pitstop

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to invite you to join me, in person, along with members of the campus leadership team, for our annual Spring Town Hall on Monday, May 16 at 9:30 am in the Commons.

Like many of you, I have missed the opportunity to connect regularly with fellow members of the UBC Okanagan community in person. With this in mind, we will kick off the Town Hall with a Pit Stop.

There will be refreshments and the opportunity to re-connect with colleagues. There will also be a first opportunity to view new renderings and plans for UBCO Downtown which will be on display. This expansion marks the next exciting step in the evolution of UBC Okanagan and I want our campus community to be the first to see these new plans.

I encourage everyone to bring a donation (suggested $2), with all funds raised at the Pitstop going to support the United Way, a non-profit that supports individuals in our community facing critical social issues.

This has been a year of great renewal and unforeseen hardship, both of which we have come through owing to our ties as a campus community.

During the Town Hall, I look forward to sharing some of my reflections and taking part in a conversation about the opportunities ahead and where we are going as a campus. Questions from the audience will be welcomed.

Date: Monday, May 16, 2022
Location: COM 201 (large classroom)
Pit Stop: 9:30 am
Town Hall: 10 am

A recording will be made available after the event for those unable to join in person.

If you cannot attend on May 16 or wish to send questions in advance, please feel free to email me at deputy.vicechancellor@ubc.ca.

Sincerely,

Lesley Cormack
