Dear CATS Community,

Canada's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam stated, “It's A Marathon, Not A Sprint” when referencing COVOD-19. The pandemic has changed the way we live, learn, work and play. We have had to be creative in finding ways to stay on track and remain connected to crucial networks. If you feel that everything requires more effort than it did a few short months ago, you’re not alone! The marathon metaphor is a good reminder that while our approaches have changed – mostly out of necessity – our goal is still in view. We just have to stay the course! We’re running that marathon beside you and if you need a community to lean on during this time, CATS is here. You can meet with one of our Career Advisors one-on-one in a virtual advising session, gain community support through our twice-weekly CATS Corner live chats, engage with us on our social media platforms, or email us with any of your career-focused questions or concerns. We will soon be introducing a set of online workshops and webinars and unveiling some helpful resources on our website.

Remotely yours,

The CATS Team

The But Stops Here

What if I told you that one of the most damaging words that you could use in an interview is but? It's a small yet mighty word! In fact, Webster describes its definition as a conjunction, preposition, adverb, pronoun and noun. Pretty impressive for a three-letter word. Here's what's less impressive: it can sabotage your job interview. I've seen it hundreds of times. - READ MORE

#MySocialJournal: Beauty

Diana Viola

Communications and Events Associate, CATS

The past few weeks have been emotionally exhausting for many of us. At the beginning, confinement seemed to be ideal for accomplishing certain projects on hold. But, as the days went by, we realized that nothing could be further from the truth, and our mental health started to be threatened by productivity guilt, stress eating and social anxiety.

In the pursuit of inspiration, I decided to build #mysocialjournal, a blog series from A-Z dedicated to showcasing creators and brands who keep my creativity on top.

Final Reminder: SURVEY - What do you need from CATS?
