We at Career Advising and Transition Services (CATS) welcome you to the School of Continuing Studies! The fluid COVID situation means that you may be a returning student who is on campus for the first time. Whatever your particular case and whether you are learning remotely or in-person, we hope that you are inspired and motivated to begin the fall session. While nature signals the end of summer, September is all about beginnings and limitless possibilities. As you navigate the School and your classes, be sure to explore CATS and learn how we can accompany you on your SCS journey – every step of the way! New and returning students and alumni, know that’s it’s never too early or too late to partner with us to acquire career management and soft skills to launch your first career, seize better opportunities, or transition to a new career.

In celebration of McGill University's bicentennial anniversary, the School of Continuing Studies will be hosting a series of events in collaboration with the McCord Museum.

 

The first event in the series will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 12 p.m. and will be led by Wanda Gabriel, Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work.

 

PAID INTERNSHIP - Remote Social Media Marketing Internship with DermoSoie (Luxury Brand)

 

DermoSoie (pronounced DermoSwa) is a luxury cosmetics company that develops, manufactures and a markets functional skin care products based on advanced science. They are looking for a creative, enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Intern who will be instrumental in growing their market through paid digital campaigns and increase brand awareness and brand presence on social media.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY:

 

Paddles Up!

 

We are recruiting a team of volunteers to assist with set-up, take-down, and on-site logistics for the Cedars CanSupport dragon boat fundraiser for cancer research on Sunday September 12th!

 

This is one of the biggest fundraisers for Cedars, supporting those affected by cancer as well as their families.

 

Who: Enthusiastic volunteers wanting to support the 16th edition of one of the largest dragon boat fundraisers in Quebec supporting cancer research

What: Volunteer tasks can include: Team Ambassadors assisting teams, Set-Up and Take-Down, Distribution of Lunches, Dock Support for Boats

Where: Promenade Père-Marquette. (2105 Blvd St. Joseph) along the Lachine Canal

When: Volunteer Shift: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Why: To make lives a little lighter and a little brighter to families affected by cancer.
