Intergenerational Holiday Market


Stock up on unique holiday gifts hand-crafted by intergeneration artisans. Items include hand-carved bows, paintings, and candles to one-of-a-kind masks, candles, soaps, and much more!


This first of its kind market features a unique
collaboration between members of the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre and West Vancouver Youth Services. Our senior and youth volunteers will be preparing and selling these unique market items, all in an
effort to raise funds for our Feed the Need initiative.

Shortbread & Sherry


Join the Seniors' Centre Advisory Board for a warm welcome to the holiday season. Enjoy coffee, tea, light refreshments, sherry, shortbread, and minced tarts. This event is free to all members, but please register.

10 Days of Christmas is coming to the Seniors' Activity Centre


Get into the holiday spirit with us!


We have a festive roster of exciting daily activities planned from December 20 to 24 and December 27 to 31, including a jingle bell walk, cookie decorating, and more! Register here starting on December 15.

Stop by for a specialty coffee at the Fireside Coffee Bar & Lounge from December 20 to 31. Try our deluxe coffees prepared using our brand-new coffee maker, and served by our friendly barista.





Volunteer appreciation gifts


Volunteers are invited to stop by and pick up a special gift on Tuesday, December 21 from 11 to 11:30 a.m., and Wednesday, December 29 from 2:15 to 3 p.m., in the Senior’s Activity Centre Marine Room. Please keep an eye out for your invitation and details.





Shuttle bus


Please send us any feedback you have related to our shuttle bus service, as we are reviewing the service and will be changing the bus route in the new year.

Bird Walks


Hop on our bus and visit a variety of locations on the North Shore to watch birds.


Be prepared to walk on any terrain, in most weather conditions. In the event of extremely poor weather, we will stay inside and review the latest books, technology, and information on birds.

Mindfulness Meditation


In these unprecedented times of uncertainty and fear, many of us are feeling isolated and struggling with loneliness, lack of sleep, stress, depression, and anxiety. Join our friendly class and learn some simple meditation and mindfulness techniques to improve your sleep, ability to focus, happiness, peace, and sense of belonging.

Back by popular demand, we will be holding a get-together for those living with dementia and their family members and caregivers. Pre-registration is required for this free event.

Holiday fitness classes


Join us for some free holiday fitness classes at the West Vancouver Community

Entrance to the classes is free with a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Pre-registration is required.


Stop by the Mistletoe Mingle in the Lily Lee Spirit Room after your class for some holiday cheer with classmates and instructors.

Cardio Pump and Stretch

Join us for a hi/lo impact class with muscle conditioning and a nice stretch to follow. May include intervals or choreography.

Festively Fit

Enjoy festive music while you warm up, followed by an easy-to-follow cardiovascular and muscular strength and conditioning workout for your whole body. Finish the class with a stretch.

Standing Strength & Balance


Enjoy a full-body fitness class that does not involve floor exercises. Start with a gentle warm-up and some cardio to get your heart rate up, then move on to balance work and resistance training using body weight and exercise bands. Finish off with a standing or sitting stretch.

Podiatry foot clinic


Do you have foot issues? We are proud to start our first in a series of ongoing wellness clinics for low income seniors. A registered nurse will be onsite to help those who need help with simple foot care.
