Another SACS on 21st Gift Shop pop-up sale is coming up on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to its size, the sale will be held inside the shop and on the outdoor patio. Paintings, kitchenware, curios, jewelry, clothing, shoes, and much more will be 50% off the regular price.

Create crafts for a cause at an intergenerational workshop


Learn new arts and crafts, collaborate with others, and fundraise for a great cause in these free workshops that bring together youth and seniors! Prepare and sell unique artisan merchandise to raise funds for Feed the Need, a meal security program for local seniors.

Join the intergenerational market planning committee


Are you a current volunteer looking to plan and lead fun arts workshops or markets? Collaborate with youth and peers to bring to life make-it workshops and the intergenerational holiday market, in support of West Vancouver's Feed the Need food security program.


Planning committee meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Seniors' Activity Centre.

Daybreak: Keeping Connected program accepting registrants


Join us for a new program for those living with Alzheimer’s. Participate in two hours of activities that include reminiscing, playing games, creating art, and appreciating life together. This class is hosted by a qualified and compassionate caregiver. A morning snack will be served.


Note: The program is currently underway; late registrations are welcome. The last session is on June 27.

New Keeping Connected program: Memory and Movement


Do you know someone living with memory loss? This two-hour class is for anyone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and their caregiver/partner. The class is divided into sections including stretching, movement, and gentle exercise, followed by an hour of socializing. Coffee and treats provided.

Screen Time for Seniors


Learn more about your phones, tablets, laptops, and more! Students from Collingwood School will help you learn all about technology and answer any questions you have. Learn how to use apps, FaceTime, email, apps, QR code setup, and general troubleshooting. You must bring your own charged device to class.

June Alzheimer’s Café: getting out and about


This month's Alzheimer's Café will focus on public transit and getting around.


The event is geared towards anyone who is living with memory loss and their caregivers, or anyone who is curious about what life with Alzheimer's is like. Everyone is welcome to this fun party featuring a guest speaker, snacks, and entertainment.

June wellness week: learn about visual impairment


Are you living with visual impairment, or would like to know more about visual impairment resources available to you or a family member?


Join us on a bus trip to tour the Canadian National Institute for the Blind‘s (CNIB) new location! Learn about the latest developments and technologies available to those with visual impairments.


Participants will leave the Seniors' Activity Centre in the morning and return midday following the tour.

Visit the IKEA store in Coquitlam. Arrive in time for the morning breakfast special and wander the incredible show rooms for home décor ideas, and shop. We have storage on the bus for small items.

Electronic device donations


Do you have an old cell phone or tablet you no longer use?

The Seniors’ Activity Centre is looking for used phones/tablets to give to West Vancouver seniors in need. When dropping off your device, please have it set to factory reset or provide the passcode to the device. Staff will ensure all information is cleared before giving your device to a senior.
