Dr. Douglas Arnold Wins a Collaborative Network Award for MS Research
A team led by Dr. Douglas Arnold, which includes 16 investigators from The Netherlands, the U.K., the U.S., and Switzerland, was awarded a $6.1 million Collaborative Network Award from the International Progressive MS Alliance in the global effort to end progressive MS. Neuro-Palliative Care: Looking Into the Future
On October 17, 2016, from 4-6 p.m., we will host a public event about our new Palliative Care Program that will serve to provide information and bring together communities of support in palliative care. The evening will feature presentations from Neuro experts and a family testimonial.

The Israel Cancer Research Fund’s Annual Women of Action Luncheon
On November 20, 2016, The Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) will host its 11th Annual Women of Action Luncheon, where inspirational mother-daughter teams, including Neuro volunteers Jacynthe and Laurie Côté, will be honoured.
Money raised from this event will help fund an ICRF Fellow from Israel to work and train under the leadership of senior medical doctors at The Neuro. Learn more in the ICRF Newsletter or on the ICRF website, and purchase event tickets here.
Get Ready to Sweat it Out For MS!
Coach J of Re-Charge Fitness will be hosting an extra-special bootcamp class at Le Rinque (5832 Cote de Liesse) on October 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit MS research and patient care at The Neuro. Together with their friends and family, Mrs. Pearl and Mr. Mortimer Levy raised more than $13,000 for Dr. Angela Genge’s ALS research fund through their sculpture and photography vernissage in early September! Their incredible generosity and hard work means that Dr. Genge and The Neuro’s Clinical Research Unit can continue to search for more effective treatments for patients struggling with ALS – one of the most devastating diseases of our time. Thank you so very much to the Levys and to all of their wonderful supporters for making a difference for patients and families!
Tasting the City
A huge thanks to Nick De Palma, Vince Lacroce, and the entire Tasting the City organizing committee for putting together a spectacular evening to benefit Alzheimer’s research and care in Montreal! Not only were guests treated to seven delicious courses of food and wine, but they also heard moving testimonials about what it’s like to have loved ones fade away because of dementia. The inaugural event raised an unprecedented $90,000 for research into the disease that will affect one in five. Next year’s gala promises to be even bigger and better, so stay tuned to hear what Nick and Vince have planned!

A beautiful sunny day set the perfect backdrop for an afternoon featuring lunch from some of Montreal's most celebrated food trucks, socializing, and fun games - all in the great outdoors! The Neuro is happy to introduce Mrs. Annabel Seyller, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for The Neuro’s Open Science Initiative. As COO, Mrs. Seyller will be responsible for internal operations and scientific coordination for Open Science. A seasoned professional with a broad background, Mrs. Seyller has more than 15 years’ experience in innovation management, government relations, strategic planning, business development, and implementation of ground-breaking initiatives.
