HERITAGE ALTERATION PERMIT FOR THE FERRY BUILDING

 

The federal and provincial governments are investing in restoring the 108-year-old Ferry Building. The Ferry Building is a municipally designated heritage site and cannot be altered unless a Heritage Alteration Permit is issued. Council will be considering the permit on February 22.

 

A public comment form will be posted on the project webpage between February 8 and 15. The deadline to submit your comments is February 15 at 4 p.m.

LIBRARY SERVICE UPDATE

 

Starting February 15, the West Vancouver Memorial Library will be open seven days a week!

 

Visit and browse on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please make an appointment to use a public computer. Due to reduced occupancy, meeting rooms, study space, and seating are not available at this time. Dedicated service hours for the elderly and most vulnerable are on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m.

CALL TO ARTISTS

 

Emerging and established artists working in any medium are welcome to submit to the West Vancouver Community Art Council's annual open invitation exhibition. The first 25 artists to submit will be featured in a four-week exhibition at the Silk Purse Arts Centre this spring.
