Develop Cross-Faculty & Cross-Campus Health Research Collaborations

The Health Innovation Funding Investment Awards provide between $10-25k to faculty members who are collaborating across faculties, disciplines, and campuses to develop new teams, pursue new ideas, or translate findings from innovative health-related research. An additional call is open for proposals focusing on provincial efforts to establish and enhance team-based care. Proposal deadline Apr. 15.

 

Engage in Inter- and Trans-Disciplinary Research Collaborations on the Climate and Nature Emergency

Applications are invited from leading scholars across career stages to the 2022-23 Wall Scholars Catalyst Program. Successful scholars will participate in regular sessions at the Institute focusing on the broad theme of Climate and Nature Emergency. Apply by Apr. 29.

 

 

Propose a Faculty Member for the University Killam Professors Designation

The University Killam Professor competition recognizes faculty members who are extraordinary teachers, researchers, and leaders in their academic fields. It is the highest honour that the university confers on a faculty member. Nominations are due Sept. 1.

Develop Solutions for Supply Chain Issues in Housing in Remote & Northern Canada

Round 3 of the CMHC Housing Supply Challenge invites proposals for projects to address barriers in the housing supply chain to reduce the time, cost and risk associated with accessing materials and resources needed to build, operate and maintain housing in northern and remote regions. Internal summaries should be submitted to Heather Frost, SPARC, by Apr. 4.

Champion Health Research, Knowledge Mobilization and Capacity Development at the Insititute of Gender and Health

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research seeks a Scientific Director for the Institute of Gender and Health (IGH), one of CIHR’s 13 virtual Institutes. The role will have a 4-year mandate, beginning January 1, 2023, with the possibility of a second-term appointment. Application deadline Apr. 11.

Inform Data-Driven Responses to Post-Pandemic Recovery

The NFRF Special Call – Research for Postpandemic Recovery supports innovative and interdisciplinary research efforts up to $250k per year in support of a more equitable, sustainable and resilient post-pandemic reality in line with the UN Research Roadmap for COVID-19 Recovery.
