Nominate a Health Educator, Professional or Partner for Contributions to Health Education and Practice

Nominations are open for UBC Health's 2021 awards and scholarships recognizing academic and research excellence in health disciplines. Competitions close Dec. 15.



Collaborate to Address Science & Technology Challenges to Support Canada's Economy

NSERC's Alliance Missions grants will offer $100-500k for research projects with non-academic organizations to address critical science and technology challenges that have emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to take advantage of new opportunities. UBCO internal deadline Nov. 23. eSubmission portal deadline Nov. 29.


Michael Smith Health Research BC

Early-Career Researchers: Build Your Research Program

The 2022 Scholar Program offers five-year awards to support researchers who are within five years from the start of their first appointment as independent investigators. Letter of intent Dec. 6, Full application Jan. 31, 2022.


Support Health-Research Trainees to Advance Their Careers

Recent PhD graduates or health professionals eligible for fellowships (or equivalent) are invited to apply for the Michael Smith Research Trainee Program in support of protected time for health research activities. Letter of intent due Dec. 6., Full application due Feb. 14, 2022.
