Collaborative Research Mobility Awards provide up to $5,000 to support travel, equipment or other partnership costs for new or existing collaborations between UBC researchers in the Okanagan and Vancouver. Apply by May 5.



Join a Standing Committee to Advise CIHR's Governing Council

CIHR seeks external applicants to form its inaugural standing committees on institutes and on science to inform and advise on matters related to the institutes or science funding. Help Reinforce Canada's Strengths in Quantum Research and Talent

New Alliance Quantum grants and expanded support for NSERC CREATE aim to advance quantum science and develop a talent pipeline to support the growth of Canada's quantum community. Applications are now open.



Shape the Path to Truth and Reconciliation through Indigenous Community-Led Research

The SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant – Residential School Joint Initiative with the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission is a one-time opportunity for short-term funding up to $50,000 to support Indigenous community-led research involving community decision-making processes, research, and actions regarding residential school sites in Canada. Full application due Jun. 15.


Develop and Transform Your Ideas into Policy

In partnership with Global Affairs Canada, the International Policy Ideas Challenge invites graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers from Canadian post-secondary institutions to identify concrete, innovative solutions to emerging international policy challenges faced by Canada. Up to six prizes are available worth $3,000 each. Submissions due May 20.

Access Support for Research Trainees from Ukraine to Continue their Research in Canada

Temporary funding is now available to help trainees currently in Canada who were expected to return to Ukraine in 2022 but cannot due to the invasion, as well as trainees currently in Ukraine who wish to continue their planned studies and research in Canada.

UBC ARC RONIN provides UBC researchers with a user-friendly web interface to harness powerful and flexible cloud computing infrastructure without learning complex details of cloud computing. Globus Plus expands the capacity of Globus, a widely used research-focused data management platform that lets users efficiently, securely, and reliably transfer data between a local computer, ARC Sockeye, ARC Chinook, and many research computing endpoints worldwide.
